High-Tech and Leadership Skills for Europe

November 5, 2016

The European Conference on High-Tech and Leadership Skills which will take place on 26th January 2017 in Brussels.

At the conference, experts, business leaders and policymakers will discuss about a shared agenda on high-tech and leadership skills towards 2020 and beyond.

There is a global competition for high-tech talent. Leadership skills are scarce. An understanding of the magnitude of the challenge and of possible solutions is urgently needed.

The provision of a large talent pool of highly-skilled entrepreneurs, managers and professionals requires long term coherent and consistent efforts in many policy areas. It also requests a strong mobilisation of stakeholders and public/private partnerships. In order to develop relevant policy initiatives there is a need to agree on definitions and description of high-tech leadership skills requirements and to provide credible estimates of future demand and supply. Concrete proposals and best practices will be presented at the conference. Speakers will share their experiences and propose new actions at European and national level mobilising, governments, industry, social partners, education and training and other stakeholders.

The event is part of the initiatives of the European Commission to promote digital and key enabling technologies skills in Europe. It is organised with the support of empirica, PwC and IDC.
Participation at the conference is free of charge but by invitation only. You need to pre-register to the event before receiving an official confirmation of your registration.
